In this judgment the CJEU ruled that a public administration may prohibit its employees from wearing religious symbols in the workplace.

The judgment offers an interesting opportunity to reflect on whether EU law is well equipped to deal with practices of potential discrimination on religious grounds which may affect more severely women in the work place.
