Description
Why do we track ourselves? When does data feel empowering, and when does it start to push back? In this session, I use endurance sport as a case study to reflect on everyday life in a datafied society. Building on familiar practices such as fitness tracking and performance apps, the talk shows how ultracycling amplify routines many of us recognize. Through examples, visuals, and short audience prompts, the session explores how data reshapes experiences of effort, pain, care, and connection. Blending cultural analysis with storytelling, the talk invites the audience to think differently about self-tracking, limits, and what it means to live with data.
