Jan Cremers (Tilburg Law School) delivered the keynote speech during a bilateral high-level discussion event between Germany and Romania. The meeting took place at the Residence of the German Ambassador in Bucharest on 30.10.2025. Cremers reported about his research in the field of advice and support of labour migrants who are the victims of abuses and violations of the law and/or collective agreements. He recommended setting up a support network, based on a structural EU-budget, to guarantee adequate support and advocacy for workers who embody the free movement principle and are the victims of malpractice.
