Launch of Digital South research lab

Description

The Digital South Research Lab is a hub of scholarship on how digitalization and datafication are shaping societies and everyday life in the global South, where the vast majority of our humanity resides. We are especially interested in how digital practices, platforms, and policies reflect and reproduce various forms of exclusion and inequality—between the global North and South but also across different parts of the South—and how public scholarship can contribute to the cause of global social justice. With this launch, we hope to start a conversation about such issues with scholars, students, and members of the public.
