Living across borders - Language, Identity and Migration

Activity: Talk or presentation typesInvited talkPopular

Description

In this talk I deal with discourse models, that are informal theories of mind that guide our gaze in how to see, understand and categorize the world around us. In so doing I try to unravel the emergence of power unbalance and stereotypes asking the question of whether interculturality and intersubjectivity across cultural, ethnic and sociolinguistic boundaries can ever achieve to move away from the Herderian equation of one nation, one language, one people, one territory.
