Methods for Measuring Team Coordination Dynamics with Time Series Data.

Description

The Methods for Measuring Team Coordination Dynamics with Time Series Data workshop will introduce two methods for estimating team coordination that are available in the MultiSyncPy python package: Multidimensional Recurrence Quantification Analysis (MdRQA), which assesses the repetition of elements or patterns in a timeseries, and symbolic entropy, which examines a timeseries by quantifying its complexity. This 4 hour workshop will be a combination of presentation and interactive tutorial. Through a set of exercises, participants will have the opportunity to apply these measures of coordination to a variety of types of time-series data such as physiological data (e.g., heart rate or skin conductance) and communication data (e.g., speech act data, movement extracted from video).
