Description
The products consumers buy are increasingly sourced through global value chains. The character of these production networks muddles legal responsibilities for risks involving the environment, workers and consumers. The Workshop ‘New Liabilities in Global Value Chains’ sought to address the question of when and how the law attaches responsibilities to control and govern these risks. Experts in the fields of business law, consumer law, tort law and human rights law presented and discussed the developments in these areas. The ambition is to further develop the papers discussed, leading to a joint Special Issue publication in 2022.Period | 3 Dec 2021 |
