Description

Seminar organized by the Utrecht University Centre for Accountability and Liability Law on the 21st of April 2022, from 14:00 to 16:30, preceding the conference "Complexity and the public role of civil courts in health and environmental matters", held on the 22nd of April 2022.
The event was about risks in tort law and scientific information in legal adjudication. It aimed to provoke discussion and offer an opportunity for young researchers to present their work and collect feedback from senior academics. Professors from the Netherlands and abroad, such as Elbert de Jong, Michael Faure and Douglas Kysar, were present and reflected on the presentations.
On this occasion, I presented a block of my PhD research entitled "Scientific evidence and empirical data as legitimacy sources in public interest cases against governments: an exploratory study".
