Description

There are several vitae of Francis of Assisi, which is interesting in itself. The context in which and for which they have been written determines the form and content of each life. The liturgical legends form a special branche because of the nocturnal and liturgical context of their performance. Traces of this liturgical context can be found in the text, which are also traces of their reception.
