This workshop aims at empowering Young Meijers Committee members to explore and address rule of law issues across Europe. By focusing on the often understudied role of civil society in safeguarding democratic principles, the workshop equips participants with both theoretical insights and practical tools to respond to rule of law backsliding.

With a combination of theoretical grounding, skill-building, and a hands-on case study, this workshop not only enhances participants’ understanding of European rule of law dynamics but also explores actionable strategies for civil actors to confront and counter threats.
