    Description

One can be redeemed from a trauma, though it is one of the most serious damages to the soul. The soul seems to die, at least that is what it feels like. Each form of persisting or violent abuse is traumatizing as it destroys the victim’s dignity.
In a first step I will explain the dimensions of abuse. The second step is to explain what a trauma is and how it affects a person. The third step will show two possibilities of how to be redeemed from trauma: by therapy and by grace. From a theological view point we can finally find reconciliation in God.
