Research interests

Alberto Barrio is a PhD candidate at the Labour Law and Social Policy Department of Tilburg University. His research deals with the social security situation of non-standard workers in the sharing economy. He also teaches about EU legislation in the field of social security. His expertise lies in the areas of comparative social security law, flexible employment, self-employment, the concept of worker and the new world of work, as well as free movement of workers.

EU Cordination Regulations and resolution of conflicts of rules, as part of the course 'Transnational Labour Law'.
