Personal profile
Research interests
My interests broadly concern governance of climate transitions and their implications on social structures and urban spaces. I study how climate transition policies shape and are being shaped by power dynamics and processes of exclusion. I engage with critical theory and materialist ontologies to explore these processes both discursively and materially. A key aspect of my work is analyzing the roles of both human and non-human agents—particularly knowledge and technology—in constructing these dynamics. Methodologically, I am passionate about using creative and art-based approaches to amplify the experiences of vulnerable communities, providing a platform for their perspectives within the discourse on climate transition.
I completed my PhD in urban planning, where I explored how culture and participatory arts contributes to the planning and governance of shrinking cities—those experiencing population and economic decline.
I conducted research in Latvia, Germany, Romania, and the Netherlands.
