Research interests

Anne de Vries is a doctoral researcher at the Department of Private Law. In her PhD she focuses on liability for independent intermediaries in the EU. In particular, she focuses on intermediaries who work for two principals or with a(nother) conflict of interest, such as insurance brokers, travel agencies and price comparison websites. Anne is a member of the ELI Project Team on 'Model Rules on Online Intermediary Platforms'. In addition, she is active in the field of environmental law (with a focus on pesticide law) and a member of the Tilburg Environmental Law Team. As a member of the University Council she aims to represent, amongst others, the interests of the Tilburg PhD community.

Anne holds a master degree in private law and environmental law (with honours) and studied at Tilburg University and Victoria University of Wellington.
