Arjan Markus is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Organization Studies at Tilburg University. He obtained his PhD in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Copenhagen Business School and visited the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania as a doctoral student and postdoc. His research focuses on the role of networks and labor mobility in organizational innovation. Specifically, Arjan studies how collaboration within and between organizations affect innovative outcomes. He also has an interest in how the recruitment of R&D scientists and engineers affects the rate and direction of firm-level innovation. His work has been published in the Strategic Management Journal and the Academy of Management Best Paper Proceedings.
At Tilburg, he teaches Innovation, Strategy and Networks at the undergraduate, masters and research masters level. His teaching has been recognized with several teaching awards.
