Career

Bart J. Koet is a member of the department of Biblical Studies of the Catholic Faculty of Theology (Utrecht/Tilburg). He read theology and biblical exegesisin Amsterdam and Rome. He taught at several universities in the Netherlands and at the University of Duisburg-Essen (Germany).

One of the topics of his research  is the way biblical traditions are used in the New Testament (especially Luke-Acts) and in later Early Christian literature.  In this research he pays special attention to the connection between interpretation of Scripture and the phenomenon of dreams. Another topic is ministry and leadership in Biblical tradition and in the Early Church. He works also on the Jewish background of Early Christianity
