Research interests

Prof. Caroline A. Baan, Ph.D. is head of the department Quality of Care and Health Economics within the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) and Professor of integrated Health Care at Scientific Centre for Care and Welfare (Tranzo), Tilburg University. Baan has an ample experience in health services research and implementation projects with a focus on chronic care, multimorbidity and population management. Current projects are the evaluation of bundled payments to stimulate integrated care programs for patients with chronic diseases, the Dutch Monitor Population management, and an EU project within Horizon 2020 to improve integrated care initiatives for elderly people (Sustain).
