Personal profile

Research interests

Caroline's main research interests concern the dynamics of social inequality and poverty at different levels of analysis, from the individual life course to the welfare state, from a cross-national perspective. In 2011, Caroline received an ERC Starting Grant. In the HOWCOME-project, the interplay during the post-war period between changes in economic and social inequalities and changing housing regimes, in particular the increase in owner-occupation, is analysed.
