Ekaterini is an assistant professor in the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management (ISOM) of the Tilburg School of Economics and Management (TiSEM) at Tilburg University. She also serves as Co-Academic Director of the MSc Information Management (tracks: Strategy and Governance and Intelligence and Innovation) and as Co-Coordinator of Thesis Supervision for our MSc students.

She previously worked at the Eindhoven University of Technology, Open University of Cyprus, and adjunct faculty at EPFL in Switzerland. Her research focuses on Data Governance in Information Systems, including integration, data quality, metadata, query processing, and managing heterogeneous datasets with incomplete or uncertain information. More recently, she has started working on achieving a deeper integration of information extraction tasks within databases and on Interactive Query Results, which enable flexible exploration of schema and data evolution while dynamically revealing impacts to support reliable information system operations.
