Personal profile

Career

After studying Tax Law at Tilburg University, I worked as a tax advisor at a Big Four accounting firm and then at a tax law boutique firm. After three years in tax practice, I joined the university as fulltime lecturer and PhD-researcher in November 2024.

Research interests

I specialise in procedural tax law and taxation of individuals (income tax and succession taxes).

My doctoral research concerns the correction of tax liabilities by the tax authority, following earlier research on this topic for my master's thesis and several other academic publications.

Teaching

I teach the 2nd year LLB course Principles of Income Tax and the master level course Capita Selecta Taxation of Individuals. Furthermore I facilitate a case study as part of the 3rd year LLB course Tax Law Moot Court and I supervise master theses.
