Research interests

I am a PhD student at the Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology, and Society (TILT) in the AlgoSoc project working on the EU's use of Automated Decision-Making Systems (ADS) in migration management. I am a historian from the Universidad del Rosario (Colombia) with an M. A. in Sociology from Bielefeld University (Germany). Previously, I worked as a Research and Policy Officer at the Global Data Justice project led by Prof. Linnet Taylor, and as a Researcher at Fundación Karisma, a Colombian civil society organization working on human rights in digital technologies. My research analyzes the impacts of data-intensive systems on the fundamental rights of vulnerable communities. My expertise includes data systems used for social security, migration management, and national identification systems.
