Personal profile
Research interests
Welcome! I am a first-year PhD candidate in Economics with research interests at the crossroads of developmental, migration, and political economy. With a focus in developing countries - Bangladesh and Jordan - my work utilizes administrative, survey, and geo-spatial data to examine the social norms and labor market frictions that hinder refugee integration into host economies. Additionally, I investigate how decentralized market interactions in barter-based refugee economies lead to welfare improvements, drawing from both theoretical and empirical perspectives. Finally, I research how migration influences long-term attitudes in receiving countries. My supervisors are dr. Patricio Dalton and prof. dr. Daan van Soest.
Teaching
I have taught the tutorials in the B.A. course on International Trade.
Adding to my teaching duties, I supervise Bachelor theses.

Before joining Tilburg University for my doctoral studies I worked as a research analyst in the Poverty and Equity Practice at The World Bank in Washington DC.
