Personal profile

Research interests

I study how the brain processes and recognize emotions from facial as well as bodily expressions. The main focus is on non-conscious perception as induced by experimental manipulation in the intact brain or by focal brain damage to the visual and attentional system (e.g., blindsight and hemispatial neglect). While the main method used in my studies is fMRI, I try to combine multiple methodologies, from phychophysics to pupillometry.
