Personal profile

Research interests

1) Asylum-seeking as a process of identity recognition in power-saturated environments as well as the implication of the socio-technological platforms for the process of asylum-seeking practices feeding into the institutional policies and politics of suspicion.

2) the institutional responses to super-diversity in urban and non-urban spaces across Europe with a specific focus on regular primary school classrooms and classrooms for the reception of young recently arrived third-country nationals engaged in civic integration trajectories.

3) e-citizenship apprenticeship, e-inclusion/exclusion and the process of enregisterment - through CEFR based language testing of newly arrived migrants in discourses of morality and national belonging.

4) e-gains and e-losses: processes of e-learning and digitalisation of classical/canonical learning materials, e.g. books belonging to a Country's literary canon, being turned into gamified software. How does this impact on learning and teaching practices in secondary school classrooms
