Research interests

Nuna Zekic PhD is associate professor at the Department of Labour Law and Social Policy at Tilburg University. She defended her doctoral thesis in June 2014. For this thesis (titled 'Employment security in labour law') she was awarded with 'cum laude'. Her expertise lies in the area of labour law and more precisely, dismissal law and collective bargaining agreements. She has been a visiting researcher at University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and Lund University in Sweden.

At the Department of Labour Law she currently teaches several courses in Dutch and international labour law on a bachelor and master level. She is the coordinator of the LLM master in Dutch law at Tilburg Law School and a board member of Levenbachinstituut, a collaborative institute of the Departments of Labour law at Dutch Universities. 

Career

2016 (August-September): visiting researcher at Lund University, Sweden.

From Oktober 2015: coordinator of the master programme Dutch law

From June 2014: Assistant Professor, Tilburg University.

2010 - 2014: Lecturer at the department of Social Law and Social Policy (Tilburg Law School).

2012 (February-March): visiting researcher University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).

2008 - 2013: PhD candidate at Reflect (Tilburg Law School).

2006 - 2008: Legal counsel at the Ministry of Social Affairs, The Hague.
