Career
Roel Mehlkopf is a guest lecturer at Tilburg University in the M.Sc. course Economics and Finance of Pensions. Roel is an assistant professor at TIAS Business School, where he is the academic director of the Netspar Pension Innovation Program.
Roel is also works at Cardano Risk Management as a pension fund advisor.
Roel graduated (cum laude) in financial econometrics in 2006. He obtained a Ph.D in Finance from Tilburg University in 2011 and was a visiting scholar at the University of Pennsylvania.
Research interests
Roel's research is focussed on investment theory, in particular lifecycle investing theory and optimal risk sharing within collective pension schemes.
