Career
I studied Computer Science (BSc), Artificial Intelligence (MSc at University of Amsterdam), and received my PhD in Computer Vision in 2017 (at University of Amsterdam). I worked shortly at Blippar/Layar (augmented reality), and followed as a Postdoc at TUDelft in the Computer Vision lab, and at LUMC in the Division for Image Processing.
I am a Computer Vision researcher that loves puzzling with visual learning problems. Everything visual: from colors, edges and corners in images, to time and motion in videos, catches my interest. I would love to know how to solve real world problems and make this world kinder, better, but for now I keep playing with pixels.
Research interests
My work is in the field of AI, specifically Computer Vision and Deep Learning, where
I have extensive experience with video and image analysis, specifically regression problems, and video motion representations.
My current focus is on effective video analysis and robust motion representations.
