Asset Impairments-A review of literature

This paper reviews the key accounting regulations on asset impairments and the relevant empirical papers on the determinants and the impacts of asset impairments. After reviewing and analyzing the empirical findings and methodologies, the paper also identifies gaps in literature for future research.
