    Project Details

The aim of this project is to develop a framework for the description of the cognitive and affective role of metaphors and to apply this framework to investigate the function and the effect of metaphors in literary and non literary communication. The project consists of text-analytic and psycholinguistic research. The starting point is the dissertation research of the investigator. A great number of pragmatic factors that have been investigated in isolation or not at all, will be integrated in one coherent theoretical framework.
