Project Details
Description
The investigation is aimed at shedding light on the referral process of ethnic minority children to special education, more specifically LOM and MLK schools. In these school types the influx of ethnic minority children is relatively high. It is important to investigate the factors that play a part in the referral of ethnic minority children to special education. A distinction is made between individual factors, such as attitudes of pupils and parents and language proficiency of pupils, and institutional factors, such as attitudes of schools and referring parties, and the validity of tests.
