Discourse quality

This project concerning disocurse evaluation research is motivated by a problem that emerged in several projects on improving communication in instiuional settings in the last five years, namely the relatively little effect of discourse improvement in structure and formulation on the disourse quality (as defined in, e.g., discourse performance and image building). In this project experiments are planned in which on the content level of discourse improvements are designed. These content manipulations are related to the so called benevolentia criterium, and will include fear appeal phenomena and the face keeping principle.
