Project Details
Description
This project investigates from a syntactic perspective the semantic interpretation of arguments. The languages under investigation are Dutch and German. Some reference will be made to other Germanic languages. Some of the central concerns are the internal structure and distribution of so called kind-denoting. NPs and the licensing and distribution of personal pronouns. The projects deals, with the role of the indefinite article in complex nominal expression (double quantified nominals) and with the role of definiteness for the distribution of personal pronouns.
