Humanitarian Data Partnerships: Expert Discussion of Regulation, Ethics and Accountability

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

This project, sponsored by Tilburg Law School, is a collaboration between scholars from LTMS and PLG and the International Committee of the Red Cross. It explores the phenomenon of ‘data partnership’ within the humanitarian sector in order to identify and address the regulatory, ethical and accountability concerns associated with this model of humanitarian aid. We organized three expert meetings in different locations globally (Netherlands, Geneva, Nairobi) that brought together key stakeholders to openly reflect on these issues under Chatham House Rules.
