Ideals in international nature protection regulations: the ideal of biodiversity

    Project: Research project

    Project Details

    Description

The aim of the project is to obtain insight into the role played by the ideal of biodiversity in international and national regulations and policies concerning nature protection. The PIONIER-programme's central hypothesis is that legal, ethical and political theories which explicitly give attention to the functions which ideals can have in these fields, have certain advantages over theories that do not. The present research project makes it possible to test this central hypothesis in the field of international nature protection regulations
