Project Details
Description
The research project aims to answer the question of how language is used in various types of everyday conversations in social networks within a multicultural neighborhood. The choices (in terms of varieties and registers of Turkish) made by members of the Turkish community will be a main research goal. Moreover, a description will be given of the linguistic repertoire of the Turkish community, and of the ways in which ethnic and other identities are expressed and marked.
