Project Details
Description
The project studies how companies deal with pressure
from external stakeholders (such as government,
consumers, neighbours) concerning environmental
issues. These stakeholders will be considered as
dynamic networks of influence on decision making
inside companies. The project examines how companies
perceive external pressure (both individual and
combined pressures), at what organizational level this
pressure is interpreted, and what the impact of such
pressures is on organizational decision making. Apart
from a theoretical study, longitudinal case studies
will be undertaken, in which selected companies and
their networks of stakeholders will be analysed at
different points of time. This dynamic analysis can
show if and what organizational learning effects have
occurred.
