    The development of a model that analyzes the attribution of value to cultural products as instrumental to effecting changes in the composition of a specific cultural repertoire. Such changes, it is held, are the outcomes of decisions about similarities and differences between items in the repertoire. The decisions are conditional on previous ones and use time-dependent information.
