Project Details
Description
The concept of fair competition is described from an economic and a juridical point of view. Then it is made operational by applying modern tools of analysis. Policy rules are designed and studied to support or to realise fair competition. Notably, the effects of the recommendation made by the Dutch Organization of Enterprises (RCO) will be investigated, which aims at the prohibition of any commercial activity by a government body. Alternative measures will be investigated. The effects of the various measures on dynamic efficiency and social welfare will be analysed.
