Abstract

What can studying the everyday teach us? January 2025 marks the 10-year anniversary of Object Lessons, a series of small, beautiful books that explore the hidden lives of ordinary things, now nearing its 100th published volume. To celebrate this milestone, we asked 10 authors from the series to share one surprising lesson they learned from their book – whether from researching the object itself, or the often unique process of writing about it.
