Abstract
Jan Cremers (UvT) wrote an article in The Progressive Post (in French and English) about enhancing compliance with the legislative frame for cross-border work. He discusses the plans of the European Commission to introduce a European Labour Authority and states that this authority must lead to a strengthening of the work of national compliance authorities. This calls for an extension of the competences of the inspectorate and the elaboration of an EU-wide effect of national sanctions in the event of abuse of the free service provision and the free establishment.
