Over de technische condities van het filosoferen

Translated title of the contribution: About the Technological Conditions of Philosophy

René Munnik

Research output: Contribution to journalArticleProfessional

Abstract

Most philosophy of technology is characterized by a certain arrangement of 'philosophy' and 'technology', in which the constructive role of technology for philosophy remains concealed. The article shows that Western philosophy - as an instance of literate thought and a reading-writing practice - owes its peculiar character to the introduction of alphabetic writing systems.
