Abstract
This contribution explores the position of Dutch nationals who wish to be reunited with their family members in the Netherlands, by addressing the cause of this differential treatment under EU law, in particular the exceptions to the rule created by the CJ EU. How have the Dutch authorities responded to this case law and how have Dutch nationals challenged the omission in EU law to provide for their situation?
