Abstract

The strand of research this thesis follows goes back at least to Bush’s As We May Think essay. In this essay, Bush envisioned that electronic repositories of information would not only record each scholar’s additions, but would also subsequently provide for their disciples the entire scaffolding by which the repositories were erected. Our research in this thesis is rooted in social data mining that seeks to uncover usage patterns in the computationally recorded behavior.
