Assessing the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights as a monitoring mechanism : Case study on COVID-19 emergency measures adopted in Belgium

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapterScientificpeer-review

Abstract

In their contribution, FRC members offer insight into the fundamental rights monitoring in Europe during the COVID-19 pandemic, underlining the importance of human rights impact assessment in times of emergency. They also ask why such monitoring, at an EU level, is necessary; how the data is collected; and how the findings are communicated not just to governments and policy makers but also to the public.
