Abstract

With the creation of Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals, an attempt was made to embed questions of justice in Goal 16 into building inclusive institutions and societies. This is to be achieved by addressing challenges including on matters of violence, exploitation, corruption, identity and access to information while also increasing efforts to increase transparency and participatory decision-making (United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2015). The remit with the goals is large and multi-layered, and the challenge going forward is how to develop a roadmap to address these changes.
