Abstract

Information technology (IT) advancement is boosting service innovations, and transforms service platforms towards highly or completely IT-enabled. The increasing extent of digitalization and the high rate of innovation makes service delivery processes highly automated and service platforms highly integrated. Meanwhile it also addresses new challenges for coordinating IT-enabled SSC where IT development has direct impact on both supply chain and service performance. This paper presents an IT-enabled ecosystem perspective by integrating IT development, and addresses emerging coordination challenges with fact-based insights from a case study of an IT-enabled SSC in telecommunications.
