    Abstract

Application of Ed Noort’s theory of ‘scriptural polyphony’ to Psalm 87. Highlighting the interpretation of the Psalm by Jewish translators (LXX), church fathers as well as in local church history, the article asks questions about the concept of scriptural canon and borderline between valid and non-valid interpretation.
