Abstract
While the EU’s new Platform-to-Business Regulation went into effect on July 12, the European Commission is already gearing up to introduce two other, more far-reaching initiatives: the introduction of ex-ante regulation for gatekeeping platforms in the Digital Services Act and the adoption of a New Competition Tool. But adding these two new legislative pieces may not be enough to solve the key challenge of creating effective and timely enforcement.
