In deze column wordt een lans gebroken voor het doorbreken van de lage familietarieven in de erfbelasting. Erflaters zouden ook buiten de vaak als knellend ervaren bloedband hun vermogen moeten kunnen nalaten tegen het lagere 'familie'-tarief.
