Abstract
Hybridity in social policy often results in implementation tasks that are hard to reconcile. Using social policy and public administration literature, hybridity is seen as a result of multiple logics and governance modes. We show the impact of hybridity on social policy implementation through literature and our own studies on innovation projects. The chapter concludes with theoretical and practical challenges for effective social policy implementation, where street-level actors work with broader, integrated services, cooperation with employers, and citizen involvement.
